The team at I Got You may be small, but our dedicated CEO provides leadership, operational oversight and anything in between. Operating primarily through the generous contributions of passionate volunteers who believe in our mission. When specialised support is needed, we have access to professional counselling services to ensure our community receives the highest quality care. This lean but effective structure allows us to remain agile, responsive, and deeply connected to the people we serve, while maximising the impact of every resource and ensuring that help is always available when you need it most.
Leesa Mountford
Leesa wears many hats in the organisation, Josh's Mum, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. Leesa is dedicated to suicide prevention, awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, particularly male suicide. Her journey into this vital work began following the devastating loss of her son Josh to suicide in April 2021.
With over 35 years of professional experience spanning the retail industry, public service and the not for profit sector, Leesa brings a wealth of management and leadership expertise to her role
What began as I Got You's online apparel business has evolved under Leesa's leadership into a comprehensive platform for raising suicide prevention awareness. Through her personal experience of loss and her professional expertise, she combines heartfelt advocacy with strategic execution, ensuring that Josh's memory lives on through every life the organisation touches.
Leesa's work is driven by an unwavering belief that no parent should endure the loss she has experienced, and that open conversations about mental health can save lives. Her leadership at I Got You represents not just professional achievement, but a mother's love transformed into a beacon of hope for others facing their darkest moments
Emilija Robeska
Em holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources, a Bachelor of Communications in Public Relations, and a Master of Counselling from the University of Canberra. She is a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and an ACA-registered supervisor.
With extensive experience in the mental health field, Em has worked with a range of clients, including hard-to-engage populations, individuals facing drug and alcohol challenges, and children and adolescents. She has successfully facilitated group programs and served as a school counsellor within the Catholic education system.
Em has held key leadership roles, including Clinical Lead at Directions Health Services. Previously, as a Senior Clinician at the OzHelp Foundation, she delivered exceptional clinical care while mentoring and inspiring her team to reach their full potential. She currently works within a large government organisation and lectures at the University of Canberra.
Deeply passionate about supporting hard-to-engage populations, Em is committed to breaking the stigma surrounding counselling and promoting positive mental health outcomes.
