ASIST Training - 31 January - 1 February
Transform Your Ability to Save Lives
ASIST is a two-day, internationally recognised workshop that prepares you to provide skilled suicide first aid interventions. Learn how to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety.
Course Details:
- Dates: Saturday 31 January & Sunday 1 February 2025
- Time: 8:30am - 5:30pm both days
- Location: Location in ACT will be confirmed
- Investment: $100 (heavily subsidised by I Got You - course valued at over $550)

What You'll Learn:
- How to recognise invitations for help and connect with someone who may be thinking about suicide
- How to understand suicide from the perspective of the person at risk
- How to conduct a safety assessment and develop a SafePlan to keep someone safe
- How to link the person at risk to further resources and follow up support
- Skills to increase your confidence in asking direct questions about suicide
Who Should Attend: ASIST is suitable for everyone 16 years and older, regardless of prior experience. This training is particularly valuable for:

Important Information:
- Full attendance on both days is required for certification
- Please arrive by 8:20am for registration on Day 1

Registration Policy:
- Tickets are non-refundable but transferable to another person
- If you cannot attend, please contact us at least 7 days prior to arrange a transfer
- Cancellations due to illness or emergency will be considered on a case-by-case basis
